From Tom Collins to Debra Hill

In March 2025, Debra Hill moved her sick brother Tom Collins from Iowa to Maryland to carefor him. Once living with Debra, Tom was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue. Deb drove him to cancer treatments at the hospital, managed his medications, and fed him through a feeding tube. Her compassion and advocacy are why Tom’s health and hope is slowly improving. To thank her and make Debra’s life easier, CaringOn replaced her broken dishwasher so she could sterilize all his eating utensils and not do it by hand. Shout out to their social worker Patty Plaskon for nominating Debra and Tom for a gift.
