Maggi Liebig and George Barnard

Maggie Liebig was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis 7 years ago and needed a double lung transplant.  Her three brothers had died from the disease and she was determined to live. She met George Barnard at their 40th high school reunion and they got engaged as she waited for a transplant.  She received her double lung transplant in September 2020 from Gift of Life and George took care of her as she recuperated.  “He signed on to every caregiver webinar available to be the best caregiver he could be and worked from home to stay safe during Covid-19.” CaringOn gifted George and Maggi with a romantic stay at the luxurious Mohonk Mountain House in upstate New York to share a day of meals, activities, and pampered relaxation.
