From Jennifer to Rich Polt and sons

Jennifer Polt, a CaringOn alumni, who gave a gift to her husband Rich and her two sons in 2019 after she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, nominated them again when her health took a turn for the worse recently. Rich had to quit his job in order to care for her full time. She wanted her family (husband, sons, mother) to experience the Rage Room where participants encounter breakable objects and are given tools with which to destroy them. In doing so, they are better able to express their anger, frustration, and grief but also have some fun doing it. CaringOn helped Jennifer gift her family with this unusual therapeutic adventure and she also enjoyed watching them “let it go” from the sidelines.
