Caitlin to Brandon Lackey

Caitlin is a 36 year old mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. After a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation, she found out that she must have her ovaries removed.  Her husband Brandon, a musician and studio engineer, “ is a wonderful husband.  He was my support through the loss of both my parents to cancer. He is an amazing dad to our two small kids, and works very hard for us everyday.”  To celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary, Caitlin thanked Brandon by giving him a “gift of care” from CaringOn – a taco cooking class at Schola Cooking School in Baltimore where they relaxed and had fun with her sister Molly, and his best friend, Jason.

  1. Hello all, my name is Clarissa and I’m a project coordinator at UC, Berkeley and I would love to invite you all to participate in a study that me and my team have been working on for the past year testing in-home assistive technology for caregivers to those with dementia. One of our main motivations for this study was to develop technology that would allow people to feel safer in their homes for longer. Caregiving is no easy task and the caregiving community is often overlooked. It’s a pleasure for our lab to be conducting research to help support those who are dedicating their lives to supporting others. This study is funded by the National Institute of Health and is completely free to participate! Participants receive $1,000 of free equipment, which they are welcome to keep at the study’s end, and can earn up to $150 by completing stress free questionnaires. Please visit our website to learn more and see if you’re eligible!
